Dear Friends of Muttville,
We're dancing and cheering at Muttville, and not just because the dogs make us so happy!
In honor of Minoo, our 500th dog saved from a cold, lonely and unnecessary death, our board and an anonymous donor - who has dedicated her gift in memory of her beloved dog Boomer - are challenging our friends to help us raise $20,000 before the year's end.
$100 becomes $200, $500 becomes $1,000 and so on.
Every dollar donated to Muttville from now until the end of the
year will be matched until we reach a total gift of $20,000.
At first she was very frightened. She didn't even know how to lay in a dog bed! As we coaxed her and she saw the caring people around her and felt the love, slowly she relaxed -- until in only two days she blossomed into a curious, playful, tail-wagging sweetheart!
And to think that without us, she would have gone from neglect and abuse to death in a cold, hard shelter, never knowing what life could be like, never being able to show her gentle, beautiful nature.
500 dogs saved. What a milestone for us.
Thanks to your help, we accomplished so much this year:
- Launched Seniors for Seniors, our signature program that matches senior people with loving senior dogs
- Grown our volunteer staff to over 100
- Established a network of 30 foster homes and 20 veterinary clinics supporting our efforts
- Built a solid reputation with shelters from Eureka to San Diego
If you could only see the transformation that happens when these sad dogs come to Muttville and realize that they've found a safe haven. The resiliency of their spirits is amazing. They relax, they play, and they wag their tails. They show such love, trust and gratitude. And for the first time for many of them, they know joy! It is breathtaking. This is important work. You are helping us save lives.
In honor of Minoo, our 500th dog, and all the wonderful, loving senior dogs we saved this year, please give what you can. Make a tax-deductible, double-the-impact Muttville donation today. Thank you.
