Alameda Recreation & Parks is sponsoring a dog walk this Saturday! Bring your dog(s) and enjoy a nice walk for about

an hour with fellow dog lovers!

Saturday, October 6: ARPD Owner and Pet Walk II!!

Inviting all Pet owners! Bring your dog!!

9 am: Meet at Washington Park Dog Park entrance, Lower Washington Park along 8th Street .

This walk will allow pet owners and their pets an opportunity to enjoy Alameda Walks together. Dog treats provided!

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is again cautioning consumers that chicken jerky products for dogs (also sold as chicken tenders, strips or treats) may be associated with illness in dogs.

The Howl'Oween Pet Parade
& Costume Contest
at the small dog park is in two weeks! On Sunday, October 30 from 1 - about 4 pm. Please allow time to register for the parade & contest which will begin promptly at 2 pm. We've got plenty of great prizes lined up and some freebies for everyone! The contest categories range from Honorable Mention to Most Creative to Best Store Bought Costume to Best in Show! 

So come on by and join in the fun!
